It will probably be my last version of camtasia and I'll change my workflow to go from a bare screenrecording with a competitor directly to premiere pro. The list is pretty long for a piece of software that costs that much. I need to close and open the editor then the sync issues are gone. For long recordings I get audio/video sync issues in the editor. It's pretty much adding any clip from my camera (sony a7sIII), from adobe premiere or from videoblocks, it just gets super non-contrasty. Like applying a rec709 to slog lut (so reverse). Importing any other h264 clip into camtasia ends up with a pale non-contrasty image.Rendered vide with new LocalFile ouput Audio on 192kbit sounds like its a phone call (really bad quality). There are a few issues with the new camtasia: Now running a ryzen 7 with 32 Gigs of ram and 1.5 TB ssd. I do not know why, but my feeling is over the years it got considerably slower. This same laptop has worked great with Camtasia 2021, for several months. PS : I would request that responses of the form "You need to use a desktop or a better laptop" are not at play here. "57%, 58%, etc." is really quite helpful! :) Which bright spark at TechSmith decided the % indicator on the progress bar, while rendering, was worthy of removal? The rendering is so slow that I have to visually check the end of the progress bar to see how it aligns with others stuff on the screen, just to make sure hasn't frozen. Is there any Camtasia-specific way to regulate how much CPU it gets? Using 15% or so seems, well, a waste.Overall CPU (all processes) averages well below 20%Īnyone else seeing radically slower rendering performance after upgrading?īy the way, two more general questions.Camtasia CPU usage remains very low throughout (probably averaging 15% or less from Camtasia). My laptop of perfectly well spec'd for this - 12th Gen i7, 16GB RAM, etc.I think this time I'm heading for maybe an hour. Normally I'd expect this to take 15-20 mins on my laptop. In short, this is the same as I have always done but the rendering is absolutely crawling. I two very simple fade transitions at the start and end (after a simply intro animation). But I edit/render the same type of video every month - about an hour long and basically just talking heads on a webinar. I'm aware there are many variables here so there's no absolute statement I can state. I have just updated to Camtasia and it seems rendering to an MP4 is much slower.
